Dr. Abraham Moses Blumberg (1873- 1955) emigrated from Talsen, Latvia, and studied medicine at an American university beginning in 1898. He studied at a yeshivah in Tokkeim, Latvia, from 1888 until his emigration.

Abstract

Dr. Kenneth Gottesfeld served as an army physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology from 1968-1969. The file contains a letter of appreciation from a patient at the William Beaumont General Hospital, report on the use of sonar scans to prevent fetal deaths, a letter from the University of Colorado, and an envelope from the Denver Women's Clinic run by Stuart and Kenneth Gottesfeld.

The collection consists of original letters between Dr. Charles Spivak and his family and colleagues during Dr. Spivak's travels to Poland via France in the 1920s. Dr. Spivak was appointed a member of the Joint Distribution Committee's relief unit to study health and sanitation in Europe after World War I.

Abstract Dr. Noa Dymenberg was born in Sifean (sp?), Romania (in the region of Basseribia). Dymenberg joined his father in the lumber business while also studying to be a rabbi, but decided to leave Romania to escape conscription in the army. He went to live with an acquaintance in Vienna, Austria, and began studying under him to become a doctor. Dymenberg soon emigrated to the northern United States, where he attended Midway College and settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also copy of poem he created...

Hillkowitz Family, 1947-2016

Abstract

Rabbi Hillkowitz emigrated to Cincinnati from Lithuania to be a rabbi and tutor, moving to Denver around 1892. His son, Dr. Philip Hilkowitz, was a noted Denver pathologist, active in various medical societies. He joined Dr. Spivak as a founder of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society and served as its president. His father, Rabbi Hillkowitz, suggested the Talmudic motto of the JCRS.
